Miffa Salter

established Urbancanda in 2002. She has over 15 years of experience designing and facilitating group events at a national, regional and local level. Her approach is energetic and focused, with an emphasis on agreeing priorities and actions. Over the past two decades, Miffa has worked across the public, private and voluntary sectors with extended secondments to both national and regional government. She has a first class honours degree from the London School of Economics and was nominated in 2000 for the British American Project - a leadership exchange programme for internationally recognised young leaders. Miffa is a fully qualified executive coach specialising in psychometric profiling and bench marking.

Kate Anderton

is a writer and editor who specialises in creating crystal-clear copy that gets your message across. She has over 15 years of communications experience gained in public and voluntary sector organisations including Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) and English Heritage. Kate has a first class degree in history from Oxford and a masters degree in architectural history from the Courtauld Institute, University of London. As well as working for urbancanda, Kate runs her own communications consultancy, Asterisk Communications.

Al Brunker

is an experienced trainer, facilitator and coach, as comfortable working with senior executives as with young people and children. He brings a passion for learning and personal development to his sessions, and a belief that learners learn most effectively from within themselves and from each other. As well as working with a range of corporate clients, Al delivers persuasive speaking, leadership and other soft-skills workshops for state secondary school pupils, young offenders and children in pupil referral units, partnering with household-name organisations such as the Prince’s Trust, YMCA and the Jack Petchey Foundation. Al practised as an employment lawyer for 15 years before making the change into freelance training in 2005. He is a Training Foundation (TAP) accredited trainer and certified mediator.

David Bryan

is an experienced facilitator and trainer specializing in organisational change, leadership development and diversity. He has had over a decade's experience in management consultancy following an academic career during which he lectured on management studies (Goldsmith College), arts management (Birkbeck College), and Caribbean history and literature (City Literary Institute). David has also founded and managed a number of voluntary organisations as well as working as a grant assessor for leading charities. He was a member of the Home Office Advisory Group on Race and holds an MBA. David chairs the Onyxarts Foundation and is a governor of Dunraven School.

Andrena Cumella

is a highly experienced facilitator and qualified executive coach with a reputation for rigour, creativity and insight. She has over 15 years of experience both nationally and internationally designing and delivering programmes on leadership and personal development. Andrena is especially well known for her work on improving personal impact, presentation skills and career planning. She holds a masters degree from the University of Toronto. Andrena is a trustee of Youth-Music UK and a patron of the Chitra Lane School for children with special needs in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Jessica Raby

has worked as an independent executive coach, facilitator and trainer for over six years. Prior to which she was a business analyst at Accenture. With a firm grounding in both the private and public sector, Jessica has a clear understanding of the complex challenges faced by senior executives and specialises in one-to-one and group sessions designed to accelerate performance as well as improving motivation and innovation. Licensed to use a range of psychometric instruments including Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and The Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI), Jessica is also an accredited facilitator in “9 Conversations in Leadership”. She currently delivers the Assertiveness Course for The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, as well as designing and running programmes for the Financial Services Authority and Cranfield University. Jessica began her career as an occupational physiotherapist. She holds a first class honours degree and a masters degree in ergonomics.

Dr Pauline Rennie Peyton

is an integrative psychotherapist, chartered psychologist, author and public speaker. She is also a fully trained executive coach and coaching supervisor as well as an experienced facilitator and mediator. Pauline specialises in helping to resolve issues of harassment and bullying in the workplace. As a counselling psychologist Pauline focuses on addressing anxiety, stress, trauma, low self-esteem and problematic interpersonal relationships.

Mary Tetlow

is an experienced consultant and manager with particular expertise in local and national government and specialist knowledge of consumer insight. As a senior civil servant she has worked extensively on public service reform policy and has led major projects in England and Scotland on developing customer satisfaction measures for local government. Mary is an experienced facilitator and trainer. She holds a degree in German, an MSc in organisational behaviour from the University of London, and, a Management Diploma from Henley.

Sharon Wright

is a national expert on school design and specialises in engaging stakeholders in the design and development of school buildings. She also works extensively on regeneration projects, involving the wider community in thinking about their environment. Sharon’s career has included over a decade within the Civil Service and over five years in management consultancy. Most recently she was Managing Director of the not-for-profit company School Works before establishing her own consultancy CreativeWit. Sharon is an experienced facilitator and holds a degree in geography from Queen’s University Belfast and an MSc from the University of London. She chairs the board of governors at John Perryn School in Ealing and is undertaking a doctorate in education at Kings College London.
