Rachael Dunlop
Rachael has extensive experience of both qualitative and quantitative methodologies
and is particularly specialised in web based research.
Over the past three years, her work has predominantly focused on regeneration
and planning issues. She also has in-depth knowledge of the arts and cultural
sector in the UK.
Rachael spent four years as a Research Fellow at the independent Policy
Studies Institute (PSI) in London where she was a contributing editor of
its quarterly journal Cultural Trends. She also co-authored PSI’s
seminal work Culture as Commodity? (1996) and its follow-up The UK Cultural
Sector (2001). She now leads on all research activity for Urbancanda where
her clients have included local government departments, charitable trusts,
and private sector developers.
Rachael holds a first class MA Honours Degree from the University of Edinburgh
and a Ph.D from the University of Westminster.
